FIFA reject Blatter’s, Platini’s appeals

World football governing body, Fifa has turned down the appeals lodged by President Sepp Blatter and UEFA chief Michel Platini against their suspensions over alleged corrupt practices.
FIFA vice-president Villar fined $25,000 The high-ranking football chiefs will not be allowed back to work for the organisation amid the Ethic Committee’s investigation into their part in alleged suspicious payment
This effectively okays their provisional 90-day bans over an alleged unethical payment.

The pair were suspended in October, amid allegations of corruption at the highest level of the organisation.
“The Fifa Appeal Committee, chaired by Larry Mussenden, has today rejected in full the appeals lodged by Joseph S. Blatter and Michel Platini and confirmed in their entirety the respective decisions (cf. art. 84 par. 2 of the FIFA Code of Ethics) concerning provisional measures taken by the adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee,” a statement read.
