How 6 policemen, others stole every movable item in Jonathan’s house

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has clarified how his residence in Gwarimpa, Abuja, was burgled and every movable items in the house stollen by six policemen and others.

He made the clarification in a statement his Media Aide, Ikechukwu Eze, released in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to Eze, the need tell what happened followed the concerns od Nigerians about the vandalism and enquiries by journalists.

He said, “The theft was discovered last month upon which a report was duly lodged with the relevant police authorities.

“The police immediately commenced investigations which led to the arrest and detention of some suspects, six of whom were policemen, even as investigations continue.

“The house, which the former President bought from CITEC estate developers in 2004, was totally stripped bare by the thieves who stole every movable item in the house including furniture sets, beds, electronics, toilet and electrical fittings, as well as all internal doors and frames.”

Earlier, media reports had claimed that 36 plasma televisions and about 25 refrigerators were stollen from the house.

But Eze refuted the media claim and said that, “only six televisions, three refrigerators and one gas cooker were stolen” adding that the house being “a modest four-bedroom duplex, it couldn’t have been fitted with “36 plasma televisions and about 25 refrigerators” as falsely reported by some media outfits.”

But this is uncalled for and unheard of. Were the police given the rights to go ransack the house or how? Because I still don’t understand how it happened

Nigerian police sometimes can be of shame and disgrace, they ought to fight crimes but sometimes abetting crimes, BABA Buhari will fight them until they desist from it.

The only bad thing about this is that the robbers were policemen, thieves should stop robbing people making legit money, they should go after politicians who are stealing public funds

This is a pity, but am I supposed to care? Jonathan stole Nigeria’s money and police stole from him too. Government stole, government collected. But, I won’t allow policemen to start stealing, it’s a wicked act, they are supposed to be protecting lives and properties, not taking lives and stealing properties. I won’t show remorse because this happened to Jonathan, a man who’s administration left Nigeria broke!

Very soon, they will tell us they’ve thrown everyone connected to the theft and the police officers into prison because Jonathan is a prominent man in the country. Jonathan deserved to be robbed because he acquired all those things with Nigeria’s money
