Despite Buhari’s claims, Jonathan gives himself the thumbs up

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has refuted media reports which claimed he has been nursing a presidential ambition for 2019.

The reported by some online platforms alleged that Jonathan declared his willingness to run for presidency in 2019 in Bayelsa on Wednesday.

But Jonathan’s media aide, Ikechuwkw Eze, refuted the claim, stating that the former president never made any declaration on 2019 election.

While he held sway as Nigerian President, Jonathan got several criticisms most especially over his administration’s inability to halt the Boko Haram onslaught in the North East and the way and manner alleged corrupt cases involving politicians were handled.
