Kidnapped APC chairman regains freedom

Two more federal lawmakers dump APC

The kidnapped chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa state, Mr Hamidu Mijinyawa has been reportedly released.

Mijinyawa who was abducted in the early hours of Wednesday was confirmed released by the Police Spokesman in the state, SP Othman Abubakar on Saturday.

His kidnappers had requested a sum of N20m be paid before his release but the police did not mention the payment of ransom.

He said, “All I can tell you for now is that Mijinyawa has been released by the kidnappers.”

Also confirming the release,The State Publicity Secretary of APC, Alhaji Mohammed Abdullahi, who also confirmed the development said, “He is out hale and hearty and is now with his family.”
