Lady sacked for watching #BBNaija

A yet-to-be identified lady has reportedly lost her job in Asaba, Delta State for watching the just concluded Big Brother Naija reality TV show while on duty despite warning from her boss.

Reports say the lady who worked with a Private Medical Laboratory known as Motherwell Diagnostics in Asaba, has been given the boot by her boss identified as Emmanuel Akpowhe who happens to be the executive director of the establishment.

According to a family friend of the lady who shared the news on social media, the lady’s boss sanctioned her sack on the 30th of April, 2018 for tuning the office TV to the event channel showing the Big Brother Naija reality show.

The family friend, said the lady is innocent of the allegations levelled against her as she only changed the channel on the said day on the request of a patient.

She also shared the excerpts of the sack letter issued by Emmanuel Akpowhe to the lady in question.

“Despite the rules in the office prohibiting the tuning of the DSTV in the office to the channel hosting the Big Brother Naija programme, you have repeatedly tuned to it and watched the programme.

“The first time you willfully violated the rule you were given your last warning. You have gone ahead to violate it a second time.

“In order that you do not become a bad influence on the rest of the workers and since attempts to correct you have led to a distrust and break down of communication between you and management, your continued stay here is contra-indicated.

“The management has therefore decided to relieve you of your post with immediate effect.

“Management wishes you every success in your future endeavors,” the sack letter read.

The news is coming a day after Ex-Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate Bam Bam reacted to criticisms that followed the show by viewers who questioned its essence as it seemed to portray immorality and other socially unacceptable vices.
