Leicester equal 24-yr-old EPL record with 9-0 win over Southampton

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Leicester City as they thrashed Southampton 9-0 in the Premier League on Friday night.

The scoreline means the Foxes equalled a 24-year-old record for the biggest ever win in the English top-flight.

The result matches Manchester United’s 9-0 win against Ipswich in 1995.

Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez both scored hat-tricks, while Ben Chilwell, Youri Tielemans and James Maddison all scored a goal each.

The victory sees Brendan Rodgers’ side climb into second place, leapfrogging Manchester City and moving five points behind leaders Liverpool.

The defeat for Saints was their biggest ever defeat as an English league side in all competitions in their history.
