Man stabs friend, robs him of N10m, dumps him to die
The police in Katsina have apprehended a middle aged man, Ibrahim Muhammed, who allegedly attacked and robbed his businessman friend, Ibrahim Suleiman Mai-Yaro of his property and money valued at over N10m.
According to police, Mai-Yaro was discovered in a pool of blood at a location in Katsina, where the suspect dumped him to die having stabbed and dispossessed him of his property and cash.
The accused, also known as ‘’Teacher,” police said has already been arraigned before a magistrate court in Katsina, for alleged armed robbery, “contrary to Section 1(a)(b) of Robbery and Firearms Special Provision, Cap R,11, LFN, 2004,” while the case has been adjourned to October 5, 2016 for mention.
ASP Hashimu Musa, police prosecutor, disclosed that Muhammed was apprehended last Wednesday (August 31), five months after the offence was committed as the accused had relocated outside Katsina to evade arrest.
