MEMO TO BUHARI: I’ve no regret, no apologies, El-Rufai says

The governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has said he has no regret nor apologies for writing a private memo to President Muhammadu Buhari over what Nigerians think about his administration.

El-Rufai who stated this on Friday however revealed that he was not happy that somebody in the Presidency could leak a private mail he sent to the President to the public.

The Kaduna State governor said this when he addressed State House correspondents, soon after he observed Juma’at prayer with Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

“I am disappointed that a private communication to the highest office in the land can be leaked and it was leaked from the villa. I am told by those that published it, but this is a fact of life.

“We live in an age where anything you write or say can be leaked. It is ok, my intentions are clear, I have no ill motive but I wanted to communicate with the President what many Nigerians are talking about and what steps can be taken to improve governance of the country and move the country forward.

“That was my motive and if tomorrow, like I said, I see anything that the President needs to know I will discuss with him and I will articulate and put it into writing and on the record for him to have a reminder document to work on.

” I have no regrets and I have no apologies”, he declared.

El-Rufai had in a 29-page memo to Buhari dated September 22, 2016, told President Buhari that his administration has remained a disappointment to Nigerians for obvious failures to meet not just their expectations but also ordinary issues a government should ordinarily meet up with.

He further accused the President in the memo entitled, “Immediate and medium-term imperatives for President Muhammadu Buhari,” of surrounding himself with inexperienced and clueless officials.

Nasir El-Rufai is one of the multiple enemies of Nigeria who cares more about violent than peace. This man is not worthy of being a governor!

“have no regrets and I have no apologies,” a man that is full of himself will never be sorry, even when his piece has triggered negative reactions from different quarters of the country. El-Rufai feels he’s the most powerful man in this country.

The truth hurts and that’s why people feel El-Rufai should apologize. Never will he say sorry for saying the truth. Buhari’s government is a disappointment to Nigerians and I in particular

What’s our headache when President Buhari himself is not complaining or trying to show anger to El Rufai, after all both of them even observed Jumat together.
