‘Buhari integrity is a fraud’ —Lamido

The National Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Monday advised a former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, to immediately proceed on self isolation.

The NCDC gave the advice after it became clear that the former governor attended a marriage ceremony where a COVID-19 positive case in Kano State freely mingled with guests.

Lamido, who revealed this on his Facebook page, said the NCDC officials gave the advice via text message.

The text read: “Assalamu Alaykum, Your Excellency Sir, as part of our Covid-19 contact tracing your name was mentioned among other dignitaries that attended the funeral at Koki on Thursday.”

The message, according to the former governor, was sent by Dr Imam Wada Bello, Director Public Health, Kano State Ministry of Health, and Secretary Covid-19 State Taskforce.

The SMS also addeed: “We would like to have your kind permission for our Rapid Response Team, RRT to evaluate your risk and possibly take sample.”

Continuing on his Facebook post, Lamido said he promptly responded: “Sure, I am available any time you need me, let me know when.”

He also added: “And today, Monday by 1:30pm 13/04/2020 myself, my driver and orderly were through the whole processes. Efficiency at it is best, now awaiting results.”
