Nigeria’s Adesina is new AfDB president
Nigeria’s Minister for Agriculture Akinwumi Adesina on Thursday won an election as the new president of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The pan-African lender announced this in its Twitter account.
Adesina takes over from the bank’s outgoing president Donald Kaberuka who’s tenure ends September 1.
