Nnamdi Kanu has assured me that he will work against Buhari’s reelection— Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the reemergence of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Fani-Kayode claimed Kanu has pledged to work against the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

He said the IPOB leader told him this in a telephone conversation on Saturday.

“I just received a call from my brother Nnamdi Kanu. I am delighted that he is alive and well. I commend his strength and courage even as I marvel at the loyalty, resilience and commitment of his lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor and IPOB. We have agreed to work together to VOTE Buhari out,” Fani-Kayode tweeted.

Kanu, whose whereabouts has been the subject of much speculation for over a year, resurfaced in a video where he was seen observing spiritual rites in Israel, posted on social media on Friday.

It is not clear whether the Biafra separatist will indeed shelve his agitation for secession in order to collaborate with politicians in the bid to oust Buhari.

Kanu is reportedly scheduled to make a broadcast tomorrow which many believe will shed light on his path forward.
