NSE: Investors lose another N24 billion
Again, investors are counting their losses as the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market capitalisation got depleted by N24 billion, leaving the All Share Index at 26,533.78 basis point. The bourse closed down by 0.19%. Year to date the market is down by 15.58%.
Top 5 losers
Niger Insurance led the top 5 losers with a 9.09 loss to close at N0.20. NAHCO Aviance came second with a 6.80% to close at N2.33. Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc closed at N0.40, losing 4.17%.
Top brewer, Nigerian Breweries Plc lost 4.17% to close at N46. Lasaco Assurance rounds up the top 5 losers with a 3.45% loss to close at N0.28.
Top 5 gainers
On the gainers’ side, ABC Transport gained 10% to close at N0.44. Wapic Insurance closed at N0.35, gaining 9.38%. Cornerstone Insurance gained 8.51% to close at N0.39.

AIICO Insurance gained 7.81% to close at N0.69. Honeywell Flour Mills ended today’s trading with a 4.21% gain to close at N0.99.
Top 5 trades
Today’s trades were lower than that of yesterday as 117.3 million shares valued at N1.5 billion changed hands in 2,122 deals.
FCMB had the largest share of trade with 24 million shares valued at N38.4 million traded in 51 deals. Access Bank traded 21 million shares worth N156 million in 144 deals. 16 million Transcorp shares valued at N16.1 million were traded in 87 deals.
GTBank traded 12.7 million shares valued at N341.6 million in 133 deals. Zenith Bank rounds up the top trades by volume with 7.5 million shares valued at N136 million traded in 239 deals.
