Oracle acquires Stackengine
Enterprise Resources Planning software provider, Oracle quietly purchased StackEngine recently as part of an effort to boost its platform as a service offering.
StackEngine, which is based in Austin, Texas had a very brief announcement on its website linking to Oracle.com. It simply stated that the database giant had purchased the start-up and all of StackEngine’s employees will be joining Oracle under the terms of the agreement.

The start-up which was founded just last year by a couple of industry veterans, had received $4.5 million over a couple of rounds of investment prior to the purchase.
