Oshiomhole needs to be advised on how to talk to people —Okorocha

Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha has said that the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole needs to advise on how to talk to people.

He said Oshiomhole should not be attacking the leadership of APC but should speak in a manner which dignifies the party.

Oshiomhole had on Wednesday suggested that Okorocha and his Ogun State counterpart, Ibikunle Amosun had no electoral value.

The APC national chairman had also said that the ruling party will win governorship elections in Imo and Ogun despite the two governors’ support for their anointed candidates in other political parties.

But responding in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha said: “We have not read Oshiomhole’s statement but I don’t think any national chairman of a party can say such a thing. He should be advised on how he speaks. He can’t be attacking the leaders of the party.

“Take it from me, a party does not exist in a vacuum. There must be people to run the party. President Muhammadu Buhari has a high pedigree which Nigerians are happy of and Oshiomhole should learn from Mr. President.

“We have not read it anywhere but we insist that it is not the best way to treat members of the party. Oshiomhole should learn to talk in a way that brings dignity to APC”.

Okorocha, who had insisted on his son-in-law and former Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu, becoming his successor, is believed will work for Nwosu, who recently defected to Action Alliance (AA) against his own party APC, in the 2019 elections.
