Oyo Chief Whip arrested over murder of Reps member, ‘Sugar’
The Police in Oyo State have arrested the Chief Whip of the State House of Assembly, Wasiu Olafisoye Akinmoyede, in connection with Saturday’s murder of a serving House of Representatives member, Hon. Temitope Olatoye, a.k.a. Sugar.
Akinmoyede would be the second suspect to be arrested ever since the Lawmaker who was representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency, was shot dead during last weekend’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.
The arrest of the Chief whip was confirmed by the Speaker of the House, Olagunju Ojo who said he was notified through a letter.
