The 2018 National Sports Festival came to an end with Team Delta winning the most medals to retain the champions title they won in the last edition.

It was the 19th edition of the biennial multi-sports event, which was originally conceived as a “unifying tool” with the main purpose of promoting peace and cross-cultural affiliation in Nigeria after the Nigerian Civil War in 1970.

In a thrilling and radiant atmosphere at the National Stadium in Abuja on Sunday night, the Minister of Youths and Sports, Barr. Solomon Dalung, declared the Games ended, and announced Edo State as the hosts of the next edition in 2020.
