Police Commission boss Smith, IGP take faceoff to Buhari

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Musliu Smith and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu have taken their misunderstanding concerning the recruitment of additional 10,000 police personnel to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Smith, a former Inspector General of Police, revealed this on Tuesday soon after a meeting with Buhari.

Smith, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, and members of the PSC met with Buhari where Smith presented the 2018 annual report of the commission to Buhari.

While speaking to reporters after the meeting if the dispute was tabled before the President, Smith said it was tabled.

“Yes, it was. We took the opportunity to brief Mr President and I am sure his lieutenants are taking care of it”, he said.
