Police nab 2 for allegedly raping 11-yr-old girl in Bauchi

Two men, Bashar Haruna and Isah Sule, have been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bauchi State Command, DSP Kamal Abubakar disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday in Bauchi.

He noted that the Police arrested the suspects after receiving information from the victim’s uncle, Haruna, of Sabuwar Kasuwa area of Bauchi metropolis, regarding the crime on 16th June 2019.

According to Abubakar, he found the suspect with his niece at his apartment looking suspicious before discovering that Bashar had sexually molested her.

The PPRO said that further investigation led to the arrest of the second suspect who the girl alleged had sexually harassed her before, severally.

Abubakar stated that the case is currently under investigation after which the suspects will be charged to court.
