Signatures for Sen Melaye’s recall arrive INEC
In what seems s speeding up of processes, signatures asking for the recall of Senator Dino Melaye have reportedly been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The signatures, about 188,588 out of the 360,098 representing 52.3% per cent of registered voters in Kogi West which Melaye represents were said to have been delivered to the electoral body in six bags.
The signatures were reportedly collected on June 17, and the results announced by Special Adviser to the Kogi state governor on political affairs, Mr. Pius Kolawole.
According to him, “In 2015, we voted for Dino and now we are using the same method to return him home,” he had said.
In reaction to the recall treats, Sen Melaye simply posted on twitter thus: “Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha recall hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha olodo governor…”.
