Suspected criminal herdsmen have abducted an Anglican priest, his wife and children in Delta State.

The priest, Revd Anthony Oyi, his family members and a man in their company were kidnapped on their way to their farm at Issele-Mkpitime in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday.

The kidnappers, it was learnt, later released the priest’s wife and children after keeping them in captivity for hours.

They were said to have asked the wife to go and source for money to pay as ransom for her husband to be set free.

Vigilante group in the area, it was gathered, had gone into the bush, where the kidnappers were supposed to be hiding in search of the victims.
