Two kids perish as bomb blast rocks southern Turkey

A bomb blast in the southeastern part of Turkey has claimed the lives of two kids and wounded four others in an attack blamed on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

The bomb blast is coming a day after  authorities appointed a new mayor for the Sirnak municipality.

Turkish authorities have been replacing municipal officials in the mainly Kurdish southeast, accusing them of supporting the PKK.

Military activities have been beefed up to calm nerves in the troubled southeast part of the country to eradicate PKK fighters, who have launched repeated attacks after ceasefire was ignored.
