Unidentified space object plunges into Indian Ocean

Published

on

Scientists say a mysterious piece of space junk plunged into the Indian Ocean this morning. Reports say the mysterious object was detected hurtling towards Earth about a month ago.
According to NASA, the unidentified object, named WT1190F, entered the Earth’s atmosphere and landed off the coast of Sri Lanka early this morning.
Scientists have been tracking its movements ever since the object was first spotted on October 3 and since then were able to predict when and where it would hit.

“It was never a threat to anyone on Earth because of its small size,” NASA spokeswoman Laura Castillo said.
