US shuts down embassy in Ankara after gunman opens fire
A man with a shotgun caused a stir at the US embassy in Ankara, Turkey after he took out the weapon hid in his coat and fired about eight rounds into the air in front of the premises of the mission.
The incident forced the closure of the embassy and other consulates in Turkey, but not after the gunman was overpowered by security guards who intervened and handed him over to Turkish police.
