Ivorian striker, Wilfried Bony has warned his Manchester City teammates to be wary of Watford’s top striker Odion Ighalo stating that the Nigerian could be very difficult to curtail when both teams battle in their first match of the Premier League in 2016.
Bony stressed the need to cage Ighalo and his strike partner Troy Deeney who has scored 14 and six Premier League goals respectively.
“Ighalo and Deeney are both in good form now and as a striker when you are in good form everything can happen,” Bony said.
“In six months, you can score 20 to 25 goals. We have to be careful of what they can do and know that they are in great form and can score at any moment. We have to be ready and be prepared for this game.”
Bony added that Manchester City who three points behind leaders Arsenal must close the gap in order to have a chance of winning the title this season.
“It’s important to stay within touching distance of Arsenal,” he said.
“The Premier League is very difficult this year. No game is the same. It is very different. Every team is difficult to play
