Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Leicester City, who held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw in their Premier League clash on Wednesday night.

Nigeria forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was also part of the matchday squad, but was a brought in as a 90th-minute substitute.

A 3rd-minute goal by Sadio Mane put Liverpool ahead at Anfield, but a goal by Harry Maguire just before half-time forced the hosts to lose points.

The draw denied Liverpool of extending their lead by three points at the top of the league table after second-placed Manchester City had lost at Newcastle United on Tuesday.

The Reds are now five points clear at the top.

At Wembley, Super Eagles forward Isaac Success played substitute role as Watford squandered a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 to Tottenham.

Spurs, who got boosted by the return of South Korea’s Son Heung-min, started trailing from the first half, thanks to a goal by Craig Cathcart.

Son levelled in the 80th minute for Spurs, before Fernando Llorente earned the hosts victory with an 87th-minute header.

Elsewhere, Chelsea were thrashed 4-0 by Bournemouth while Crystal Palace were held to a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

Chelsea drop to fifth on the table as Arsenal, who won Cardiff City on Tuesday, go a spot better in the standing.
