Talented rapper, Iceprince Zamani has announced that he has parted ways with his record label, Chocolate City, which he said happened as a result of the fact that his contract with the outfit has expired.

The Aboki exponent revealed that much on Cool FM and Beat FM when fielding questions as he did media rounds to promote his latest single titled ‘Chike’ which features Mavin act Korede Bello.

However, the rapper noted in his interview with Toolz of Beat FM, that he is still part of the Chocolate City family despite the fact that his contract with the label has expired.

The rapper who became popular after releasing several hits such as Oleku, I Swear, Gimme Dat, Turn Me Up, Can I Talk and the viral N Word (Remix) ft AKA which gave him worldwide acclaim among others also downplayed rumours that he left Chocolate City due to a rift with label mates and executives.

Commenting on his exit, Iceprince’s manager, Tobi Sanni Daniel, CEO of State of Mind Entertainment, said; “Just like everything in life, growth happened, there was a rise in his profile that has necessitated a rise in financial value and id very expensive for any label in Nigeria to afford and it didn’t make sense to attempt to stretch the company that far, but the last three years has been very cordial”. He added.
