CrowdStrike reacts to Delta Air Lines lawsuit over tech outage
American cybersecurity technology company, Crowd strike, has reacted to the lawsuit filed by Delta Airlines over the massive global tech outage which caused chaos across the world in July
The incident grounded businesses, including; airlines, trains and checkouts, telecoms providers, broadcast media and financial institutions to a halt at the time.
Delta Air Lines in its suit claimed that the global outage caused $500 million in losses, brought down millions of computers, and caused massive flight cancellations.

The security software company was also charged by Delta Air Lines with negligence and breach of contract after an outage in July that resulted in millions of machines failing and thousands of airline cancellations.
The lawsuit by the airline argued that; “If CrowdStrike had tested the faulty update on even one computer before deployment, the computer would have crashed.” They highlighted that CrowdStrike still created massive delays for Delta customers.
While reacting to the lawsuit filed by Delta Air Lines, a CrowdStrike spokesperson told the media in an email: “Delta’s claims are based on disproven misinformation, demonstrate a lack of understanding of how modern cybersecurity works, and reflect a desperate attempt to shift blame for its slow recovery away from its failure to modernize its antiquated IT infrastructure.”
