Syrian journalist dies from wounds sustained in bomb blast

Syrian journalist, Khaled al-Essa has died from wounds he sustained after a bomb blast rocked their home in Aleppo.

His colleague Hadi Abdullah who was also wounded by the explosive device hidden behind a door in their home on June 16 is said to be in a stable condition.

Reports say Essa who was offered treatment by Germany succumbed to his injuries early on Saturday when he died in a hospital in Turkey.

The deceased who served as Abdullah’s cameraman, was due to arrive in Germany for surgery to remove shrapnel from his head but died before it could take place.
