In a statement issued on Friday, February 7, Pelumi disclosed that both parties are genuinely committed to a settlement and have met through their lawyers.

He also noted in his statement that the legal representatives of both parties have met and are now in the process of formalizing the understanding between the pair.

“The parties are genuinely committed to a settlement and have met through their lawyers. By God’s grace, we are confident that a resolution will be reached soon. I am open to providing you with more updates, but not on social media,” the lawyer said.

Additionally, Mercy Chinwo’s attorney thanked businessman Stephen Akintayo for his efforts to mediate a settlement between his client and her former manager.

“While you graciously extended an invitation for mediation via Instagram, accompanied by a thoughtful follow-up video with one of the parties, several other eminent individuals have also reached out privately to facilitate the process.

‘‘The legal representatives have met, and we are now in the process of formalizing the understanding between the parties. “Please also take comfort in knowing that, despite your concerns about how messy things may seem, Minister Mercy is navigating this situation with grace and confidence in God,” the lawyer added.
