66 people confirmed dead after passenger plane crashes in central Iran
Reports emanating from Iranian media says no less than 66 people have been confirm dead in a plane crash which occurred in the central part of the country.
According to spokesperson for Iran Aseman Airlines, the passenger plane was coming from Tehran to the city of Yasuj when it unfortunately crashed killing all 66 people on board.
Emergency services spokesperson, Mojtaba Khaledi said the plane went down in a mountainous area near the town of Semirom.

The incident is coming exactly a week after a Russian airliner which was en route to the city of Orsk in the Ural mountains, crashed moments after leaving Moscow’s Domodedovo airport, killing all 65 passengers and six crew on board.
Reports say the Saratov Airlines jet vanished minutes after take-off and crashed near the village of Argunovo, about 80km (50 miles) south-east of Moscow.
Online pictures of the incident involving the Antonov An-148 showed pieces of wreckage and body parts found spread over a large area with authorities confirming the recovery of one of the flight recorders of the airliner.
