Boniface, Tella crash out as Bayern, Barca reach UCL quarterfinals
Nigeria duo of Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella failed to help Bayer Leverkusen overturn a 3-0 deficit against Bayern Munich in their Champions League knockout tie.
Leverkusen had fallen 3-0 in the first leg of the tie last week at Munich, and still got beaten 2-0 at home on Tuesday night as Bayern advance in the competition.
Harry Kane netted a close-range finish in the 52nd minute, his 10th in Europe this season, to put Bayern in control.
He then assisted Alphonso Davies in the 71st minute to score as they secured a 5-0 aggregate victory over their Bundesliga rivals.

Bayern will face Inter Milan in the quarter-finals after the Serie A champions defeated Feyenoord in the other last 16 tie.
Inter had come into the second leg of the tie leading 2-0, and they went on to win 2-1 in the second leg, to advance with a 4-1 aggregate win.
In Spain, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha starred as they thrashed Benfica 3-1, to win their tie over Benfica 4-1 on aggregate.
Hansi Flick’s side will face Borussia Dortmund or Lille in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Liverpool and PSG are still battling it out at Anfield. The game has been forced into extra time after a 1-1 aggregate result after 90minutes at the time of this report.
