The embattled National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, was Thursday arraigned before a Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Maitama, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on charges bordering on destruction of evidence.

Metuh was alleged to have destroyed the statement he made under caution to the operatives of the EFCC.

He pleaded not guilty to the two counts said to be contrary to sections 166 and 326 of the Penal Code Act.

Trial judge, Justice Ishaq Bello, ruled that the PDP spokesman be further remanded in prison while adjourning hearing of his bail application till Monday.

Metuh, who had been in prison custody over his alleged involvement in the arms procurement money scandal, will need to be granted another bail and meet the conditions that may attached before he can regain freedom.
