Nigeria and Chelsea of England midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has opened discussions with Fenerbahçe of Turkey following the footsteps of Manchester United’s Nani and Robin Van Persie who joined the club last week.

Mikel indicated that he is finally likely to end his nine-year stay at Stamford Bridge by moving to the Istanbul-based Turkish Super Lig outfit.

This comes after it was revealed that Ersin Duzen, a presenter of Turkish football programme, Futbol Gunlugu, revealed that Mikel has held talks with Fenerbahce over a move in the coming week.

Duzen further claims Fenerbahce sporting director, Giuliano Terrane met with Mikel in London to discuss terms ahead of a deal with the Istanbul side, which has already signed Portuguese international, Nani, while Dutch ace, van Persie also looks likely to join.
