Two men, Gambo Ibrahim, 41; and Isah Abdullahi, 27, were on Tuesday arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court over alleged stealing of cows.

The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Monica Ikebuilo, told the court that the accused committed the crime on Nov. 7 at Ado-Ekiti.
She alleged that the accused, on the said date, armed with offensive weapons such as guns and cutlass robbed one Alhaji Amodun Mahamadu of his 3 cows.

According to her, the accused committed an offence punishable under Section 1(3)(a) and (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special provision) Act, LFN 2004.

She told the court that their case files have been sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutor (DPP) for legal advice.
