JUNE 12: More Nigerians to receive national honours— SGF

MINIMUM WAGE: FG inaugurates committee to negotiate salary adjustment

Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has declared that more Nigerians will be awarded national honours for their role in the June 12 struggle for democracy.

The SGF made the announcement in his opening remarks at the investiture of national honours on late MKO Abiola, Babagana Kingibe, his running mate in the June 12, 1993 election, and Gani Fawehinmi, the late human rights lawyer.

At the presentation of the awards by President Muhammadu Buhari, Kola, the eldest son of MKO Abiola, received the award of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR).

Ganiat Fawehinmi also received the award of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) for her late husband, while Kingibe received the award of GCON in person.
