KADUNA: Lone gunman kills 4, injures 8 others during xmas carol

Tragedy struck around the Nindem village axis in Godogodo district, Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna state during a Christmas Carol when a lone gunman killed four victims and injured eight others during a shooting spree.

The incident which occurred last night saw the lone assailant shooting sporadically after he invaded the Godogodo village at 9 pm as the residents were holding a carol at the community square.

According to Colonel IK Ekpeyong, spokesman for Operation Safe Haven, who confirmed the incident in a statement, the gunman killed four persons and injured eight others.

Ekpeyong also informed that some people suspected to be masterminds of the attack have been arrested for further interrogation.

He also disclosed that the dead have been deposited in a mortuary while the eight wounded persons were taken to the Kafanchan general hospital for treatment.
