Nicki Minaj’s lawyer reacts after former manager sued artist for assault, battery
The lawyer representing popular American female rapper Nicki Minaj has reacted after his client’s former tour manager sued her for alleged assault and battery.
On Friday, January 3rd, the 42-year-old Grammy nominee was sued by her former tour manager, identified as Brandon Garrett, in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Garrett claims that during his time as a day-to-day manager for Minaj on her Pink Friday 2 tour, he got into a fight with the rapper, during which she scolded him and struck him.

TMZ claims that the alleged assault happened backstage in Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on April 21, 2024, following the conclusion of Minaj’s performance.
In a statement responding to the lawsuit, Nicki Minaj’s attorney, Judd Burstein, said she had not yet received the complaint but refuted the accusations.
“At this time, no complaint has been served upon [Minaj], and therefore, we are unaware of the specific allegations,” the statement reads. “However, if the lawsuit is as reported by TMZ, it is completely false and frivolous. We are confident that the matter brought by this ex-assistant will be resolved swiftly in Mrs. Petty’s favor.”
