Senate adjourns plenary to Thursday

The Senate which had earlier suspended plenary abruptly on Tuesday without reason after it screened two ministerial nominees has announced that its plenary has been suspended till Thursday.

There had been concerns as to who would preside over plenary on Wednesday, as the Senate President, Bukola Saraki is to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal sane day.

The Acting Clerk of the Senate, Nelson Oyewo, told reporters that the Senate had decided to reconvene on Thursday, October 22, cancelling the earlier date of Wednesday.
