Nigerian dancehall singer Cynthia Morgan, who now prefers to be referred to as Madrina, has called on her colleagues in the industry not to undervalue their craft and also refuse meagre compensation for performances.

Cynthia Morgan made the call on the backdrop of the beef between Burna Boy and Cubana Chief Priest while expressing her view about the dynamics within the music industry.

The musician, who was once at loggerheads with a former label boss, Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye, also recalled how she encountered unfounded accusations in 2018 after receiving N1 million for a performance.

“Make artiste no dey collect beggy beggy show again. Na so Maleke beg me to pay me ₦1 million for show for 2018. They later say na I toast them, say I even dey stalk them. Crãzy world,” she wrote on X.
