The Ogun State government led by Ibikunle Amosun has reinstated the state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Akeem Ambali.

The reinstatement of Ambali which was made public by the National President of the Union, Ayuba Wabba comes barely 28 months after he was fired.

Wabba revealed the development to newsmen after a meeting between the state government and national leaders of the NLC at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Tuesday.

He also revealed that all issues raised by the NLC regarding workers’ welfare had been resolved.

Recall about two years ago that the state NLC chairman was sacked along with 15 members in a move that also saw the suspension of 19 officials of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) by the state government.
