Hulk Hogan’s daughter defends him

Published

Like her legendary father, she knows how to get in the ring and try to defend a title. Brooke Hogan, 27, has come to her embattled father’s defence after WWE severed ties with the wrestler after an audio recording of a racist insult about his daughter’s black boyfriend.

The 61-year-old Hulk Hogan whose real name is Terry Bollea, was heard flinging around unpalatable phrases while referring to the romantic relationship between his daughter, Brooke and a ‘black billionaire.’

Brooke was trying to launch a music career and this ‘black billionaire’ was supposed to be helping her, but according to what Hogan said in the tape, he wasn’t happy that his daughter was romantically connected to this man’s son because he was black.

After the tape was leaked WWE quickly dropped him like hot potato and are having nothing to do with him anymore. They removed all traces of him in their Superstar page and their Hall of Fame, they also pulled the Hulk Hogan merchandise. And the wrestling champion’s fans across the world are outraged.

Brooke Hogan defended her father by writing a poem on Facebook, pleading for fans to forgive him.

“He taught me folks are so much more than shades could ever tell” and “We all can make mistakes and carry ugly scars.”

“If you knew the dad I knew,/ you’d know his tender heart,” she began. “He’d never want to hurt his fans,/ or family from the start./ If you knew my father,/ you would know how hard he fought…/ and the way it brought a smile to people light, medium and dark…”

Her father had also accepted that his words on the tape were ‘offensive’ and unacceptable. The tape had recorded him saying:

‘I don’t know if Brooke was f**king the black guy’s son… I mean, I don’t have double standards.

‘I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f**king n****rs. But then when it comes to nice people and s**t, and whatever.’

He continued: ‘I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f**k some n****r, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n****r worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!

‘I guess we’re all a little racist. F***king n****r.’
