NLC, TUC in crucial meeting with Nigerian govt over fuel prices
Leaders from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) are currently in talks with the Federal Government over a number of pressing national issues.
The main focus of the discussions is particularly the impact of fuel pricing, especially the most recent hikes.
The meeting is being held at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
Attendees include Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser; Labour Minister Nkeiruka Onyejeocha; Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy; Information Minister Alhaji Mohammed Idris; Petroleum Minister Heineken Lokpobiri; Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas) Ekperikpe Ekpo; and representatives from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited.
