KWARA: Sacked Fulani-led APC faction loses at Supreme Court

Edo Police CP insists Oshiomhole was not attacked in the state

A suit contending the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State by Balogun Fulani was on Wednesday struck out by the Supreme Court.

In a unanimous decision, the court, led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour dismissed the suit for lacking in merit.

While reading the lead judgement, Justice Oluwakayode Ariwoola, upheld that the records of the Case was transmitted to the apex court outside the 14-day time limit provided by law.

Justice Ariwoola added that the appellant however failed to transmit the record of appeal from the Court of Appeal to the Supreme Court until March 4.

A Court of Appeal in Ilorin had on February 12, 2019 given a judgement striking out Fulani’s case against APC, its National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, and others before proceeding to the Supreme Court to seek a redress on February 14.

“The appeal is adjudged to be lacking in merit. It is struck out for being incompetent,” the Supreme Court ruled.
