Senate mulls five years jail term for sexual hawks in schools

Senator Ahmed Lawan, a strong contender for the position of the Senate president and 51 other Senators-elect were missing from the floor of the Red Chamber on Tuesday, when election commenced to fill the post.

Senator Bukola Saraki (APC-Kwara Central) emerged the new Senate president as he was elected unopposed by 57 Senators-elect.

The ruling APC had picked Lawan as its choice candidate to head the 8th Assembly at an earlier mock primary election.
