Protesters shut down Ibori country home , Ogharra

Protesters, who are indigenes of Ogbarra, in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, have taken over the Warri/Benin expressway, calling for the immediate evacuation of the Nigerian Navy form the ancient town.

The protesters said the navy must vacate the expanse of land allegedly acquired by the force, saying they wanted back their inheritance.

The entire Ogbara junction was blocked as vehicles coming from and to Benin and Warri could not continue their journey immediately as the protesters stationed themselves at the junction.

Stern-looking mobile policemen were seen manning strategic areas to avert a breakdown of law and order.

Okada riders practically took over the protest, marshaling their skills on their bikes

Okies Vicky, an indigene of Oghara, who was part of the protest, said the land the navy is presently occupying must be vacated be sure it was illegally acquired.
