Tinubu appoints Ndidi as Acting CG of Nigerian Correctional Service
President Bola Tinubu, on Friday, appointed Nwakuche Ndidi as the Acting Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Ndidi’s appointment takes effect from December 15, 2024, following the expiration of the tenure of the current Controller-General, Haliru Nababa.
Nababa, was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari on February 18, 2021. However, with the expiration of his tenure, the need for a new leader to take the reins became imperative.
According to a statement by the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Board, Ja’afaru Ahmed, Ndidi’s appointment is a testament to his wealth of experience and expertise in the field.
