The White House taskforce on Tuesday predicted that United States could be heading to a worse 100,000 to 240,000 fatality rate in a couple of months despite strict mitigation efforts and social distancing.

Heads of the Force, Deborah Birx and Anthony S. Fauci confirmed that although the projection was likely, people were expected to adhere to laid down mitigation laws.

According to a memo shared by the White House task force and the CDC, talks are still ongoing among America’s federal officials concerning recommendations on the use of face coverings in public as evidences continue to reveal that most infected persons usually show no symptoms of the virus.

Meanwhile, there are at least 186,991 coronavirus cases in the US with the death toll hitting 3,888.

Of all 50 states in the U.S, however, Wyoming is the only district yet to report a death from the coronavirus pandemic.
