Hard stance Philippine President has made a u-turn over the purchase of arms with America as he has ordered his police chief to go ahead with the purchase of 26,000 assault rifles from a U.S. supplier.

The order is coming after Duterte had expressed anger at “fools” and “monkeys” in Washington seeking to block the deal and said he would cancel it himself.

According to Philippines police chief, Duterte revoked that decision, apparently after Republican Donald Trump’s surprise win in the U.S. presidential election.
