Nigerian triple jumper, Tosin Oke, has expressed satisfaction after winning gold medal in the men’s event on Monday at the All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo.

The 34-year-old took a leap of 17 metres that ensured he was way ahead of the field.

“It was great winning the gold and I’m so happy that all my effort was not in vain,” he said.

It was, however, a first and second finish in the men’s triple jump for Nigeria as Olumide Olamigoke claimed silver.

Olamigoke finished with a leap of 16.98 metres.

Oke has now succeeded in defending the gold medal he won in the men’s triple jump four years ago at the Games in Maputo, Mozambique.
