Arsenal offers Sanchez £200,000-a-week two-yr deal

Alexis Sanchez will be offered a two year contract extension to keep him at Arsenal until 2020.

Arsenal forward Sanchez wants around £200,000-a-week which would make him one of the top earners in the Premier League.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed contract negotiations are underway with Sanchez and Mesut Ozil whose current deals expire in 2018.

They are understood to be confident that Ozil – the club’s current top earner on around a basic of £140,000-a-week – will commit himself to a new contract extension.

Ozil’s add-ons can take him up to around £200,000-a-week and Arsenal are hopeful of reaching an agreement which would make the German superstar the club’s biggest ever earner.
